Hexcel is currently seeking a Payroll/Accounting Specialist for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Bi-weekly payroll duties: Review timecards to ensure accuracy of hours worked/paid.  Enter payroll adjustments – including deductions for miscellaneous fees, disability, paygrade adjustments and safety shoe reimbursements. Accurately process payroll and transmit to central payroll department.  Monitor time off requests and attendance related activities for a 250+ employee site. 
  • Daily Accounts Payable duties: Monitor the Accounts Payable incoming email daily. Perform accounts payable function including accurate and timely processing of invoices including keying into AP System, preparing, scanning, and indexing accounts payable documents. Review and verify invoice coding, matching requirements, sales/use tax liability, and freight expenses. Adhere to procurement guidelines during invoice processing.  Assess and utilize open purchase orders to process Invoice.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding billing and payments.  Research and reconcile invoices and statements.  Partner with purchasing, receiving, and corporate accounts payable departments as well as requestors to correct price, quantity, sales/use tax, freight, account-coding and payment discrepancies.
  • Submit wire requests to the treasury department.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external customers.  Assist in other general accounting activities as needed such as journal entries, bi-weekly payroll and overtime report compilation and distribution, and other ad hoc requests. Process incoming checks and remits to the lockbox.  Conduct new hire and supervisor time clock and payroll system training.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and minimum two years of related work experience or training in accounts payable and/or payroll administration and processing.  Working knowledge/experience with Workday and ADP eTIME strongly preferred.
  • Must be organized, have strong clerical skills, and be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite software.  Proficient typing and 10-key skills required.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated the following abilities: reading and comprehending written and verbal instructions, correspondence, and memos; drafting of clear correspondence; effective presentation of information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization; recognition of standardized situations and non-standardized situations and application of common-sense problem-solving skills or escalation of more complex non-standard situations.    
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to generate and interpret bar graphs.
