Highway Transport Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Accounting and Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst is a key member in the finance group. We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates must be excellent communicators and good with technology. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who seeks process improvement and thrives in a growing organization.

Work Location: Knoxville, TN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and presents monthly financial reports, including monthly profit and loss by Service Center and forecast vs. budget by Service Center.
  • Creates accurate financial and management reporting data for managers, banks, and other required reporting.
  • Assists in the implementation and ongoing development of budgeting, planning, and forecasting tools.
  • Collaborates with leaders to create and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Assists in the preparation of long-term planning models.
  • Models and tracks projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyzes cashflow models and cash flow projections.
  • Responsibilities require the individual to develop and maintain good working relationships with other departments to understand company and industry trends and ensure they are accurately projected.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • CPA or MBA Preferred.
  • 3 years minimum experience in FP&A role or similar position preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Workday, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Power BI are preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience implementing system and automating processes preferred.
  • Thrives in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Can work independently or collaborate as a team member.
  • Detailed-oriented.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Fully onsite at the Knoxville, TN corporate office.
  • Normal work schedule: after hours work and/or weekend work required, as necessary.
