About the Role

Here at Howden Group Holdings, we are expanding our HR data & reporting team to reflect the critical nature of our data to our expanding HR department and the fast-paced, international company it is part of.  The HR Data & Reporting Analyst is a role designed to help us ensure that our data and reporting is accurate, relevant and able to provide the business with key people insights.

The role will be responsible for maintaining, developing and modifying the data management infrastructure to expedite data analysis and reporting. In addition, it will ensure the relevant checks and data automation are in place to maximise data accuracy across our processes with a focus on critical data elements such as compensation.

The successful candidate will benefit from prior experience of setting up data management principles, especially in an organisation without existing structures.  They will be entrepreneurial in their methods for obtaining, understanding and verifying data.  They will have the ability to understand and reflect business priorities in their approach to data management and reporting.  They will have prior experience with Workday.

The prior experience in Workday will enable report design and build off the back of the data knowledge gained through data management activities as outlined.  Knowledge of Power BI will also be a benefit.

Key Accountabilities

  • Working closely with the HR Data & Insight Manager but also independently:

  • Support the master data principles for HR Data, defining blueprints for data management systems whilst ensuring the integrity, confidentiality and security of all datasets.

  • Create and maintain relevant data structures and plans within the Workday System and run end-to-end testing.

  • Oversee data integration within Workday.

  • Help key users to audit their data and maintain data integrity in the systems.

  • Identify data issues/risks and raise through the appropriate channels.

  • Build knowledge and share data expertise and techniques to cultivate a data driven culture across the wider HR team.

  • Monitor data to ensure system integrity and consistency and identify measures to address any gaps. This includes arranging and overseeing regular data audits and cleaning in conjunction with HR team colleagues, ensuring all the data complies with legal requirements.

  • Implement policies and guidelines for data management and develop standard operating procedures for data handling and archiving.

  • Answer queries / adhoc report requests such as:

    • Creating new reports in Workday for users based on queries and business needs

    • Building dashboards and visualisations to show results at a glance

    • Maintaining databases, spreadsheets and other tools used in data analysis

    • Locating and fixing errors in reports across platforms

    • Training others on how to use and create reports in Workday or other platforms as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Extraordinary attention to detail.

  • Solid communication skills; ability to synthesise and communicate information from a wide variety of sources.

  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills; ability to deal with stakeholders throughout the business and able to present information in a clear way to different audiences.

  • A team player, able to work independently, but also to contribute to the wider team and department.

  • Experience with Workday data & reporting

  • Experience of Power BI would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of SQL / Python a bonus but not essential
