Job Summary

Are you interested in using your recruiting knowledge to help build Hub’s new early career programs?  If so, this might be the role for you!

The Regional Early Career Talent Partner will support the recruiting workstream of Hub’s early career programs for the HUB Midwest-West region. In this role, you will focus on building robust pipelines for our early career (entry-level) roles while working closely with the talent acquisition teams, HR partners, HUB executives, and our broader talent acquisition community of practice. This role will also work with our corporate talent acquisition team to support our efforts to expand our regional programming for the internship program that will introduce entry-level talent to the essential skills and knowledge needed for a career in the insurance brokerage industry. 

This role will proactively build relationships with candidates, develop relationships with diverse groups of professionals, and proactively source talent within and outside of the insurance industry.  The ideal candidate will be organized and an effective communicator, who is detail-oriented, and has excellent recruiting abilities and experience with program management. You must have experience managing multiple priorities and driving them to successful completion, with an ability to operate effectively in ambiguity. This is a visible role, requiring a recruiter who is highly collaborative and has a track record of influencing without authority. Strong self-awareness, the ability to collaborate with others, and a passion for development are important for success in this role.

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline of candidates for early career positions within the organization.

  • Coordinate with talent partners and hiring managers to identify available markets and target candidates.

  • Source potential candidates through cold calling from industry lists and online channels (e.g., social media platforms and professional networks, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Conduct screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews

  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using a CRM and resumes in Workday

  • Demonstrated experience researching people and/or products and developing a plan to grow the relationship

  • Assist in employer branding initiatives and serve as a brand ambassador in the community

  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events with support from the TA coordinator.

  • Partner with universities, diversity associations, professional associations, and talent platforms to attract, interview, and hire top talent. This includes college, university, and technical program students and post-graduate candidates with up to 2 years of experience.

  • Work with hiring teams to understand the candidate profiles and ensure recruitment efforts are focused on hiring talent that meets the needs of the full-time roles and internship positions.

  • Cultivate relationships with external organizations and associations and serve as the point of contact for these organizations.

  • Collaborate with the Hub International talent brand team to ensure branding is in alignment with recruitment efforts.

  • Partner on the delivery and program experience of current and future regional early career programs by working with the corporate TA team, hiring managers, and respective business sponsors.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in sourcing and recruiting early career talent or experience in a similar/equivalent position.

  • Experience in the coordination of hiring projects, where there are multiple positions to fill in one or several locations. Experience with high-volume recruiting is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills are key for this role, as this role frequently interacts with varying levels of business leaders and HR colleagues.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems. Specific experience with Workday, Indeed, and Handshake is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
