The Senior Clinical Recruiter recruits qualified applicants for staff nurse or other positions requiring registered nurse licensure, licensed practical nurse, or graduate nurse positions. Investigates sources and determines marketing approach. The Senior Clinical Recruiter work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.


Humana is seeking a Senior Clinical Recruiter to work on the Primary Care Organization’s recruiting team and will be expected to do the following:

  • Execute Humana’s Talent Acquisition model while continually implementing best-practices

  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies and tactics that are consistent with broader organizational objectives

  • Leverage prior recruiting experiences, business acumen and is seen as a strong influencer to hiring leaders

  • Seek out opportunities to impact strategy; often proposing solutions for recruiting barriers and potential strategy for new initiatives

  • Work with all members of the HR team as well as key stakeholders within various business areas to align candidate sourcing with targeted positions

  • Prescreen candidates by reviewing resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements

  • Source candidates for select roles with a focus on identifying talent through various digital media, sourcing channels, and local/national outreach efforts

  • Maintain accurate and well-organized documentation on all candidates and search tools working within the organizations applicant tracking system and CRM


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years direct clinical recruitment experience

  • 2+ Full-cycle recruitment experience

  • Experience sourcing passive candidates

  • Strong work ethic, initiative, sense of urgency, proactive with ability to work within a team

  • Comfortable with change and the ability to flow to the work

  • Strong attention to detail – ability to manage competing priorities with successful results

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute research, sourcing, and mapping strategies

  • This position will be work-at-home with potential to travel ~20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • Recruiting experience in the health solutions and/or insurance industries

  • Workday experience and/or previous experience using formalized applicant tracking systems

  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
