The Workday Product Analyst will have oversight of the current and future needs of the Workday platform and lead the development of scalable and innovative solutions for Human Resources or Finance. The Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to deliver efficient business processes and a first-class user experience. Strong collaboration with process owners will be paramount to ensure effective use of the system capabilities, coordination of upgrades, and identification of new features that should be evaluated for implementation. The Analyst also will regularly engage with IT in the management of Workday releases, business support, selection of new Workday modules, and defining best practices

Responsibilities

  • Gains a thorough understanding of existing and potential business and user needs and uses this knowledge to determine Workday priorities.

  • Develops, maintains, and executes a Roadmap in partnership with HR or Finance leadership and Technology Solutions. 

  • Regularly translates business needs into prioritized efforts on the Workday Roadmap. 

  • Develops annual Workday program budget, goals and objectives.

  • Partners with other Workday Analysts to identify and manage connection points.

  • Monitors new opportunities and market insights to inform recommendations to leadership.

  • Manages the implementation of new Workday solutions, capabilities and applications that yield an intuitive and trusted user experience.

  • Seeks opportunities to simplify, optimize processes, improve accuracy and productivity.

  • Develops and leads Workday testing strategies for all new releases.

  • Monitors and revises Workday budget forecasts, as needed.

  • Creates, prioritizes and accepts user stories, incorporating them into release planning.

  • Partners with training teams to develop and deliver training to end users

  • Develops and implements a Workday Communications plan in collaboration with other Workday Analysts and the Internal Communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred, in IT, Business, Product/Project Management, HR (For HCM Analyst) or Finance (For Finance Analyst)

  • Project management or product management certification, preferred

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position analyzing Workday

  • Advanced existing Workday analytical skills

  • For HCM Product Analyst: Advanced knowledge and experience in 4 or more of the following Workday HCM modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking & Absence, Recruiting & Onboarding, Talent & Performance, Learning, Succession Planning and Payroll.   Thorough understanding of Business Process Configuration, Security, and Report-Writing.  Preferred knowledge in Custom Fields and Custom Objects Creation and Maintenance

  • For Finance Product Analyst: Advanced knowledge and experience in 4 or more of the following Workday Finance modules: Core Financials, Business Assets, Revenue Management, Expenses, Procurement, Adaptive Planning, and Payroll.  Thorough understanding of Business Process Configuration, Security, and Report Writing.  Preferred knowledge in Custom Fields and Custom Objects Creation and Maintenance
