Then FINANCE Workday Reporting & Data Analyst adds value by consulting directly with functional leads and Workday Product Analysts to develop simple to complex reports and dashboards in Workday in support of day-to-day operations, data integrity initiatives, and strategic planning. As a technical expert, this role grows the technical skills and abilities of the Company’s Workday Report Writers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports and dashboards within Workday Report Writer for all current and future Modules. Build and maintain Workday custom reports, alerts, and dashboards based on key metrics identified by leadership.

  • Analyze and interpret criteria for complex reporting requests from end-users and functional leads. Creates, maintains, and supports a variety of standard management and department reports for ongoing team needs. Maximize reporting efficiencies by streamlining reports within the system.  

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the development of reports and dashboards, following Company guidelines and procedures adhering to data protection for highly sensitive and personally identifiable information. Develop and maintain up-to-date report writer procedures. Execute data and report validations to support ongoing quality assurance processes.

  • Establish and maintain a system for receiving report requests. Create report index to easily identify reports corresponding to key metrics. Prioritize requests and collaborate with functional leaders to ensure report requirements are met in a timely fashion. Maintain the catalog of available standard and custom reports, including calculated fields in related business objects. Coordinate with the ERP team to add calculated fields into indexed data sources and reviewing and updating security access.

  • Develop and deliver ongoing training for Workday Report Writers, enhancing their report-writing skills and abilities, including training on Worksheets, Discovery Boards, and other Workday analytics solutions. Participate in the development and delivery of internally created training programs for administrator roles. Support the creation of end-user documentation by validating instructions and providing recommendations to the functional teams for improvements.

  • Work cross-functionally on data warehouse/datamart management of data. Develop and maintain SharePoint and Power BI reporting solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred, in Business, IT, Accounting

  • Previous WORKDAY experience

  • Workday Report Writer certification, preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in similar position, creating and analyzing reports & dashboards in ERP

  • Skills in Workday Finance modules, Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, and Office 365

  • Prior experience with reporting and analytical tools like Tableau, Crystal, Power BI or Cognos, is a plus

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
