QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

The qualifications and skill requirements for this position include:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science or related field of study supplemented by a number of years with ERP (Prefer Workday) development experience;
  • Proven programming and analytical skills requiring the use of independent judgment and design capabilities;
  • Experience with Eclipse or similar integrated development environment (IDE);
  • Knowledge of the following programming languages is a plus:  Java, Python, Ruby, MVEL, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency skills with web services and/or application programming interfaces (APIs);
  • Technical skills including business process analysis, software development skills in a variety of languages, and understanding of object-oriented architectures;
  • Knowledge of various ERP/Workday integration technologies like enterprise interface builder (EIB), core connectors, document transformation, and Workday Studio preferred;
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving, information systems environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments, organize work, make decisions, and function independently;
  • Ability to work effectively will College staff and administrators on all levels;
  • Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:         

The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Cross-application (HCM, Finance, and Student) Workday integration development, including design, testing, and implementation;
  • Cross-application integration technical support;
  • Cross-application report development and maintenance;

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting Workday integration, configuration, and reporting issues to identify and fix root causes;
  • Maintaining data integrity through all data transformations and transmissions;
  • Participate in technical development, enhancement, administration, standards compliance, and testing for data and application integration projects;
  • Meeting with users to determine needs;
  • Researching issues, analyzing possible solutions, and implementing agreed upon solutions;
  • Representing IRSC at Workday user meetings and on conference calls;
  • Representing IRSC in discussions and requirements with third party vendors;
  • Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Systems Support Manager or Executive Director or Enterprise Systems.

On the job training with Workday will be provided. Training may include: virtual trainings, self-paced trainings, and much more. Our goal is to help prepare you for the position you will be working in.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.  It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.  IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
