ING is looking to recruit a Head of People Services Excellence (GJA 20), reporting to the Global Head of HR Operations within the COO People domain.

Summary of role

The Head of People Services Excellence plays a pivotal role in the delivery of simple, easy and accessible people services. This role brings together all key disciplines, from Global Process Excellence leads, to Product Owners, Functional Workday Consultants and our support teams inside our COO People organisation. Next to that, this role acts as the tribe lead for the joint People Services and Tech team of Product Owners, functional Workday consultants and AMS experts. Together with the Head of Digital HR this role is a key contributor to the improvement of employee experience at ING.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Tribe lead

  • Leads a collection of different teams which have the  purpose to develop, implement and/or maintain GHR assets with a focus on ensuring standardized, effective, efficient and seamless HR services from an E2E process.

  • Change Control Process

  • Chair or the Change Control Process

  • Aligned on all changes on End to End processes, including timelines and handshakes on budget with Global and local requestors

  • Responsible for sign off of all release documents, including the full testing cycle and sign off

  • Stakeholder management

  • A critical aspect of this role is effective stakeholder management, ensuring that all cross-functional teams have an aligned roadmap, a clear expectation on timeline and way of working

  • Clear communication channels e.g. for escalations

  • Responsible for monthly reporting to senior stakeholders on progress and opportunities to optimize

  • Team management

  • Day-to-day management of the team

  • Set high standards for quality within the team of 10 members

  • Establish processes that allow the team to work efficiently and accurately

  • Team is properly staffed (quality and quantity)

  • Focus on (individual) development and continuous improvement of individual and team performance

  • Set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; recognize achievements and take appropriate corrective action where necessary

  • Foster an open, collaborative accountability culture within the team

  • Encourage team members to share their opinions and know when to listen, empathize, respond, or act on team input.

How to succeed

  • A Master degree from University or University of applied sciences in preferably in Human Resources, Economics or Business Management

  • +8 years’ experience in Digital Transformation, HR technologies, and process improvement initiatives

  • +6 years’ experience in leading a cross-functional team

  • General HR experience in a global, complex environment

  • Understand of all GHR assets and processes related
