Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated, service-oriented individual who wants to be part of an evolving HR team in a dynamic, fast-paced company. Â You will be supporting our employees in all areas of Human Resources such as policy development, performance management, employment law compliance, employee relations, and department development.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaison between management and employees by handling questions and interpreting and administering policies.Â
- Assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
- Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures, including maintaining employee handbooks. Provide recommendations to policy or procedure changes accordingly.
- Maintain compliance with local, state and federal employment law keeping the HR team apprised of any changes.Â
- Analyze and evaluate the impact of proposed legislation and rule changes; propose policy/procedural changes as necessary.
- Assist and counsel managers on human resources and employment issues.
- Conduct investigations on employee, customer and vendor complaints, including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination and violation of company policies.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Proficiency using HRIS systems and Microsoft suite.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
