IMCO is looking for a highly motivated Associate, Total Rewards, to join our team!
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, the Associate, Total Rewards is a key role for the Total Rewards team, supporting both the employee and business needs relating to compensation and benefit programs at IMCO. This role requires a curiosity in Total Rewards, analysis and technical writing, to be leveraged in evolving strategies and programs, through data-driven solutions. The successful candidate will consult and provide technical expertise on various compensation initiatives in alignment with our rewards and recognition programs. The role is expected to maintain an excellent understanding of the overall market and should be able to prioritize and manage requests as we continue to develop the overall Total Rewards strategy.Â
As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:
Accountability

Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance and triage as appropriate

Act as a recognized resource for the Total Rewards and HR Operations team and coordinating across-functional teams

Establish practices and procedures for new processes, working with the Senior Manager and other HR partners to ensure successful implementation and integration

In collaboration with HR partners and the Total Rewards team, identify, develop, advise and propose solutions/enhancements related to internal HR processes

Work with HR partners and the Communications team to develop and implement effective communication and change management plans to enhance the employee experience
Total Rewards

Provide analytical support on reward programs (incentive plan, recognition, etc.) to ensure established guidelines, processes and procedures are accurate

Conduct research and analysis on total rewards trends, market surveys, regulatory and compliance changes

Provide support in the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of IMCO’s Total Rewards programs and initiatives (by providing reports of analytics and insights)

Develop and maintain communications and training materials for all Total Rewards activities across the enterprise.

Support IMCO’s benefit programs by developing a strong understanding of the industry including trends, concepts, policies, procedures, and best practices in order to provide guidance to HR staff and employees.

Own and update content for the Total Rewards page on the intranet

Maintain all total rewards partner relationships and associated events and programs
Compensation

Conduct benchmarking exercises, including the management and participation/submission of market surveys
-
Drafting compensation and benefits related policies and procedures, monitoring regulatory changes, and assessing program efficiency, and providing recommendations for improvements

Support the job evaluation and job reclassification process; facilitating, developing, and managing the job evaluation system, processes, and procedures to ensure pay equity compliance

Develop and maintain databases of compensation data (e.g., employee compensation, benchmarking results) as a resource for compensation analysis

Support in the development of compensation recommendations for external hires and internal promotions and lateral moves
Policies
-
Maintain a thorough understanding of required policies and procedures, employment legislation, and IMCO’s benefit and pension plans to effectively respond to employee inquiries
-
Support in the updating of Total Rewards policies on an annual basis (or as required), soliciting feedback from various stakeholders across the organization (e.g., HR, Legal, Compliance)
What you need to succeed:

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, or a related field
-
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or working towards is considered an asset
-
1-3 years of relevant experience in benefits administration, compensation or other relevant human resources/administrative position
-
Experience working with HR Information Systems (previous experience with Workday is an asset)
-
Technical skills must include a strong background and advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other applications such as Microsoft Project, Visio and MS Access would also be considered an asset.
