Job Description:

The Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE) and the Microelectronics Research Center (MRC) at Iowa State University (ISU) are seeking applications for a Research Administrator I position. 

The position will be responsible for assisting with and supporting the pre- and post-award activities of CNDE and MRC.  These duties include preparing proposal documents, providing guidance to investigators, utilizing ISU proposal/award systems, preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, reconciling worktags and maintaining databases.  This position will also assist in the support of financial administration for both CNDE and MRC.  These duties include maintaining monthly financial reports, submitting invoices, provide guidance, track payments, and prepare center specific financial reports as requested.

In addition, the position will provide administrative support to the Applied Sciences Complex by assisting in the administrative management of the ASC shuttle service and student support processes.  These responsibilities include secondary supervisory of shuttle drivers, preparing reports, managing the student check-in/out procedures, providing guidance for graduate and undergraduate students, provide travel arrangement support, and maintain student databases.  Both duties are critical to the operations of CNDE and MRC.
