Reporting to the Director, Executive Compensation, the Consultant will be an integral member of the Total Rewards team supporting executive compensation programs including: the administration of compensation programs, processes, and their related technologies; program and process improvements; research and market analysis; and executive compensation related requests across Iron Mountain.


  • Support the preparation of the Board Compensation Committee meeting materials (analysis, creation of graphics (charts/tables), development of meeting materials)
  • Assist with stock plan administration by providing support related to the granting process for equity awards, employee stock purchase plan, data integrity, employee questions and program communications
  • Participates in and manages applicable executive level salary survey processes to collect and analyze data for evaluation and determination of competitive executive pay positioning
  • Provide data and reports to internal stakeholders to formulate recommendations for ad hoc salary reviews
  • Assist in the process of preparing the annual proxy CD&A and disclosure narratives and tables
  • Administer the non-qualified deferred compensation program
  • Complete market pricing of new or changed positions
  • Create compensation models to provide analysis on critical business initiatives
  • Create and maintain job profiles, bonus plan and bonus target data, and prepare reports and updates to keep them current
  • Audit Workday HCM system to ensure compensation-related data are correct. Investigates & resolves discrepancies
  • Partners with the Senior Manager, Global Equity Compensation on equity plan budget, analytics, communications and administration
  • Works in partnership with IRM’s Global Equity Compensation Manager on all aspects of equity compensation, including management of annual equity process

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation focused on analytics, benchmarking, plan design, and Board reporting
  • High level of spreadsheet expertise (pivot tables, databases, formulas) and presentation design skills (PowerPoint or Google Sheets)
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Manages time effectively and adapts easily to shifting priorities
  • Workday experience a plus
  • Experience in executive compensation, fixed and variable compensation plans, equity plans and total rewards programs
  • Working knowledge of compensation related law, policies, and practices
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal team, cross-functional team, and external parties in a rapidly growing environment
