JOB SUMMARY – Senior Benefits Analyst – based onsite St. Petersburg, FL

Our Senior Benefits Analyst provides support to the HR team globally in the strategy, administration, and management of employee benefit plans. You will promote the value of plans in alignment with the company’s goals and competitive practices.

What can you expect to do?

  • Suggest and implement steps/processes, including technological improvements to make the administration of benefits more timely and automatic.
  • Responsible for the analysis and improvement of daily activities associated with Benefit processes and systems including Workday and multiple external third-party Administrators and insurance carriers.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve existing processes and programs.
  • Liaison between Benefit Administration, HRIS, HRES, Payroll, and insurance carriers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve file integration issues, error reports, case escalations, and enrollment system configuration.
  • Collaborate with business functional subject matter experts, and facilitate projects such as annual testing, on-going file maintenance and audits, compliance filings, and Workday system integrations.
  • Oversee systems for overall data integrity and functionality. Coordinate with external vendors, integrate any enhancements/releases, and identify areas for process improvement. Support day to day end user and HR requests.
  • Collect and analyze data and cost trends critical to benefits planning and budgeting. Convert complex data into user-friendly information to effectively present. Design and maintain a wide variety of reports as requested by HR, Finance, other business operations.
  • Perform audits of internal systems, payroll deduction files, provider records, and any data exchange between parties.
  • Compiles statistical reports for department.
  • Support the communication and interpretation of Jabil’s employee benefit strategies, procedures & compliance requirements.
  • Within a very entrepreneurial culture, educate colleagues in the spirit of continuous improvement of benefit management & administrative responsibilities globally.
  • Assist in the vendor management of multiple insurance carriers.
  • Participate in team projects that address strategic initiatives as directed by Benefits Director.        
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with team members and business colleagues in the delivery of benefit initiatives as assigned.

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in benefits administration or related HRIS analyst experience.
  • Candidate must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Advanced understanding and working experience with Human Resource Management Systems, HRIS, Payroll, third-party applications, and database querying and report writing.
  • Ability to analyze and work with complex organizational structures and multiple systems.

  • Advanced understanding and working experience of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules and benefit procedures to ensure correct implementations, and on-going operations and audits.
  • Comfortable creating and/or maintaining macros and complex formulas such as vlookups, xlookups, nested IF statements, pivot tables, template creation.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to research issues and identify root cause.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
