About our Engineering Team 

The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards.  They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely.  At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times.  

About the opportunity

As the Quality Authorisations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of maintenance, specialist maintenance, receipt inspection, training and compliance authorisations and business approvals on behalf of the QM AMO. Key challenges will include ensuring all regulatory, legislated and company authorisations and approvals are proactively managed and controlled using the Company Authorisation Database. Including understanding impacts and threats to approvals and authorisations such as changes to legislation and ongoing oversight of mandatory requirements for authorisation holders.

As the Authorisations Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of all authorisation issue and renewal processes including oversight of compliance requirements e.g. mandatory training

  • Evaluation of individuals professional competency, skills and experience in relation to their authorisation through Compliance Review Board (CRB) process

  • Management of key company approvals for the AMO including renewal processes and significant changes

  • Updating required manuals to maintain compliance with regulatory and policy requirements

  • Oversight and management of AMO capabilities including scope of maintenance service changes and aeronautical product maintenance capability

  • Interface with Level 3 NDT person

  • Oversight of all specialist maintenance certifiers e.g. NDT, Composite repair, EGR, Borescope inspection, IFE.

Your experience, qualifications and competencies will include:

  • Lead Auditor training or equivalent e.g. IOSA

  • Diploma in Aviation related discipline or aviation trade qualification

  • At least 5 years experience in aviation

  • Proven record in initiative, determination and achievement

  • A background in Quality & Compliance with an understanding of Part 145, & 66 regulations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrable writing skills consistent with technical writing / publications.

Any previous experience with the Workday systems will be highly regarded during the shortlisting process.
