About Our Candidate:

KAR is seeking an entrepreneurial Talent Acquisition Partner to attract tech talent for KAR Global. Our ideal candidates will have a strong sense of urgency and the ability to market technology career opportunities across the U.S. and Canada. You will act as a consultative business partner to anticipate, support, and deliver the recruiting and hiring needs of our company. You will excel at talent identification, talent attraction, and delivering a positive candidate experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Understand the vision and business objectives as it relates to Talent Acquisition, while influencing and executing recruiting strategies to support the talent needs of the company.

  • Lead the full life cycle recruiting process from start to finish including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, recommending a qualified talent pool, and offer negotiation for technology positions at KAR.

  • Establish relationships with candidates through social networking, technology user groups, industry relationships, internal and external referrals, career fairs, and other means.

  • Understand and anticipate current market trends, compensation packages, and their effects on talent acquisition and retention.

  • Proactively generate a continual, diverse pipeline of highly qualified candidates.

  • Partner with team members on special projects to build and sustain strategies to continuously deliver a high level of customer service to the organization and meet our goals and objectives.

  • Work with established third-party vendors on an as needed basis.

  • Partner with business leaders to source and assess talent for open positions. Influence hiring managers, leaders, and business partners on adopting talent acquisition strategies and processes that produce the best hiring decisions

  • Review trends and leverages knowledge, data, and competitive intelligence to develop creative, customized sourcing strategies. Effectively navigates and determines alternative options for challenging positions

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to manage workforce planning and strategic pipeline planning efforts

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred

  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in a dynamic recruiting role that requires influencing and partnership to accomplish goals.

  • 2+ years of successful recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment on software engineering and tech niche roles is strongly preferred.

  • Track record of developing partnerships with stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates sound judgement and is resourceful, self-motivated and self-reliant

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills with an innate ability to motivate and inspire.

  • A data-driven mindset, leveraging metrics to inform recruitment strategies and measure outcomes

  • Familiarity with immigration hiring processes and requirements is a plus

  • Experience navigating a matrixed environment (multi-site, multi-state, multi-national organization) is preferred

  • Experience influencing and strategically solving problems

  • Current knowledge of federal legislation as it pertains to recruitment practices

  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g., social media recruiting and Boolean search)

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Workday experience preferred)

  • Familiarity with sourcing databases and resume mining techniques

  • Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities.

  • A demonstrated desire for continuous improvement.

  • Strong understanding of full lifecycle recruitment processes and compliance requirements

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and focus

  • Ability to positively interact with all levels in the organization
