Workday Reporting Business Analyst – REMOTE

Job Description


Develops, implements, analyzes, and administers results for a specialized HR function such as, compensation, benefits, HR systems, staffing, learning & development, international, other HR disciplines. Certification or advanced study within a recognized area of specialization is preferred.  Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience.


Job Responsibilities

·       This position is responsible for the creation of organization wide reports, dashboards, Discovery Boards, and other Executive KPI reporting using HR data in Workday.

·       Collaborates with Workday users to outline reporting requirements/needs that align with business strategy and metrics

·       Assumes responsibility for developing scalable reports and reporting solutions to ensure sustainable processes

·       Analyze, design, and build new custom reports using standard and advanced Workday reporting functionality (ex: Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Composite reports, BIRT, etc.)

·       Maintains awareness of applicable Workday updates and trends, including evaluation and system testing for Workday releases, and focus on product and service development of key technologies

·       Leads and documents change management review and testing following new Workday configuration and enhancements

·       Partner with end users to troubleshoot system issues, design enhancements and system training

·       Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of ad-hoc reporting requests and meet deadlines

·       Execute with integrity in a timely fashion to deliver polished and easily digestible analysis and insights for cyclical programs as well as new projects and ad hoc requests

·       Tailor insights into multiple areas of our organization on the topics such as hiring, development, and talent retention

·       Support the design and implementation of reporting solutions to enable KBR stakeholders to better understand employee data to make effective people decisions

·       Leverage Workday to collect, cleanse, harmonize, and visualize datasets for ongoing reporting

·       Heavily utilize Workday and Microsoft Excel to pull and examine people information to highlight insights identified by Business leaders

·       Self-reliant and has initiative to carry out assigned tasks or improve processes

·       Demonstrates ethical and moral behavior, unquestionable integrity, and character

·       Excellent work ethic

·       Perform other duties as assigned

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resource, Business Administration.

·       Affinity with Financial Data required.

·       2-3+ years of experience in Compensation.

·       Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

·       Prior experience with Workday and other HRIS systems.

·       Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

·       Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, interacting effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff.

·       Ability to be a proactive, self-starter, who understands the details within a much larger context.
