DTS Sr. Compensation Workday Analyst

Job Description

As a Workday Compensation Analyst, you will support our People Strategy by leading and deploying key compensation initiatives. You will serve as technical support for escalated compensation inquiries, testing and special projects that require deep system and functional expertise. The analyst will be the primary technical point of contact for the compensation team and will partner with other functional areas to establish and launch Total Rewards programs that are aligned with emerging best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Workday core compensation processes via system configuration, operations and administration focused on establishing a stronger pay for performance approach.  This will include support for new/revised salary, bonus, allowance, stock, benefit and one-time payment plans.  Ensure all plans work with payroll integrations.
  • Lead with design recommendations for job and grade architectures that will unlock the power of matrix organizations.  Partner with Compensation and Talent teams with revisions to the job or grade architecture and support annual updates for grade profiles. 
  • Work collaboratively with HR teams such as Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll to consult, troubleshoot, research, and escalate issues as necessary.  Understand how compensation plans and architectures impact other life cycle events, including Requisitions and Change Job, to advise Compensation and Talent Acquisition teams on impact of changes. 
  • Evaluate new functionality for release management, gather requirements, test and implement new enhancements or system capability deployed
  • Proactively partner with Compensation and other CoE’s to understand business issues, analyze data, and suggest ways to leverage Workday while promoting Diversity and Inclusion
  • Support Workday data governance policy and processes; perform data quality and compliance audits
  • Support Integrations and Vendor Management efforts
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all phases of development

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • University degree (bachelor’s) required
  • 2-4 years compensation configuration support experience in Workday strongly preferred, will also consider candidates with strong Workday HCM configuration experience
  • Must possess a strong understanding of Compensation processes and data, business knowledge of Benefits, Payroll, and Performance processes highly preferred
  • Requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
  • Communicates complex ideas and is able to translate technical details to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrates strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience utilizing discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience working with custom reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with timely analytics and identify business trends is preferred but not required
