Workday Senior Software Engineer: Remote Opportunity

You will be joining a highly collaborative team working on the enterprise solution for Workday HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Learning, Talent Suite, Compensation, Absence Management, and Performance. Key responsibilities include systems analysis, integration design and development, testing, and implementation.
What You’ll Be Doing

Provide subject matter expertise and technical consultation in development, vendor package system evaluations, and enhancement of new/existing systems

Drive design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and iteratively improve product services related to core connector, EIB, and studio integrations

Collaborate with designers, product managers, and pair with other engineers on the balanced team

Leverage critical thinking, experimentation, data, and industry best practices to implement desired business outcomes

Develop high quality services that are secure, easy to operate, difficult to break, and extremely observable with measurable results

Responsible for all technical aspects of the product application lifecycle including code, infrastructure, data, and security

Suggest improvements and proactively address issues

Participate in training and development activities to keep abreast of current trends and practices

Continuously develops self and demonstrates a strong knowledge of new technologies, modern application architecture, and industry best practices

Identify continuous improvement opportunities to existing business practices, processes, workflows, and tools

Engage with vendors to drive technical solutions

Mentors, assists, and pairs with engineers to evangelize best practices
What We’re Looking For
Functional Skills
-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field
-
Knowledge of Workday modules – HCM, Recruiting, Payroll areas
-
3+ years demonstrated developer experience in providing solutions for Workday business operations
-
Experience participating in technical and cross functional efforts
-
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
-
In-depth knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test driven development
-
Participates in a collaborative team environment
-
Highly analytical, with strong problem solving and organizational skills
-
Excellent written and verbal skills
-
Experience with large scale application troubleshooting and performance tuning
Technical Skills
-
Experience with Workday integration solutions and architecture

3+ years of experience and fluency in Web Services standards and technologies (XML, XSLT, XPath, Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, REST etc.)

3+ Workday integration experience with EIB, studio, core connector, cloud connector, BIRT, report writer, business processes, calculated fields, and security groups
-
Prior Workday implementation experience is highly desirable

Prior Workday Extend experience is highly desirable
