Job Description Summary

               

We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed-oriented Global Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling payroll processes. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders across different regions. This role is responsible for supporting the administration of the day-to-day payroll operations and accuracy of the payroll system data to deliver the companies payrolls.

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with country, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage end-to-end global payroll processing for assigned location, ensuring accuracy and compliance with country specific regulations using global payroll provider.
  • Stay updated on changes to tax laws, labor regulations, and other payroll-related legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate processing of employee data and seamless integration with other systems.
  • Prepare termination and/or off cycle checks.
  • Manage payroll cases and email in a timely manner.
  • Maintain employee master data in the payroll system and audit it against Workday data to ensure they are the same. Update in-country tax setup as needed.
  • Process garnishments, tax levies, other non-voluntary attachments as required by law.
  • Participate in payroll projects and opportunities as assigned.
  • Compile, analyze, and document issues on payroll and related fiscal activities to identify systemic issues or problems.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-5 years’ experience of processing Global payrolls (including, but not limited to North America, Latin America, APAC Region, Europe).
  • In-depth knowledge of country, federal, state, and local payroll regulations, and tax laws.
  • Multi-state, International, union payroll experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll software and systems.
  • Proficient in MS Excel including advanced formulas functions (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables, IF statements).
  • Strong analytical, high attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed and think and act independently while also being team oriented.
  • Good follow-up skills: the ability to understand; adaptability to process changes; and strong sense of importance of ownership.
  • Ability to maintain the highest standards of accuracy, precision, discretion, and confidentiality with strong ethical values.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $49,200.00 – $73,810.00
