College Recruiter

Working closely with the College Relations Team and Management, this position will lead full cycle intern recruiting strategies to attract top agricultural talent to Land O’Lakes . This role will focus on growth and strategy for our Purina & WinField United Answer Plot internship programs to deliver on expected hiring goals.

Travel to college campuses across the country is required as well as travel for conferences and internal Land O’Lakes events.  Travel will be approximately 40% during peak recruiting seasons and 10% during non-peak seasons.

Highly desire this position to be located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate headquarters (hybrid work arrangement each week). However candidates who reside in Iowa, South Dakota, Western/Southwestern Wisconsin or North/Northeastern Nebraska may be considered for a home based work arrangement

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute assigned business function’s intern hiring strategies​

  • Partner with business talent program leads to execute a successful internship program and wrap-up presentations to drive conversions to full time roles

  • Partner with coordinators to manage: job postings; career fairs; logistics; additional events and on-boarding process​

  • Research, benchmark and build knowledge of competitive landscape, key school programs and potential obstacles​

  • Build relationships with key University staff & clubs to execute successful branding strategies

  • Continuously seek opportunities to implement process improvements to enhance college relations, hiring manager and candidate experience ​

  • Collaborate and share best practices with Talent Acquisition teammates to elevate all programs

  • Drive to ensure compliance goals are achieved.  Utilize SharePoint and other tools to store required data and documents.

  • Source, build talent communities and nurture student leads via Phenom People CRM tool

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree

  • Candidates must have 3-5 years of Recruiting experience, preferably campus or agricultural related with project and event management

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication, ability to influence, inform and guide others, handle multiple projects while maintaining a high level of customer service

  • Must be a driven, creative, self-starter with the passion to go above and beyond; driving process and consistency.

  • Ability to take ambiguous situations and make sound decisions that will benefit all college programs

  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage detailed metrics for specific programs 

  • Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills are required.
