Job Description:

Langara College is modernizing its Student Information System through the implementation of Workday Student and is seeking a Strategic Analytics Consultant to ensure the system’s effective sustainment and optimization following deployment. Operating under the guidance of the operational area leader, this consultant will serve as a key resource for business improvement, system transformation, and operational analytics. Key responsibilities include managing process and system requirements, overseeing Workday configuration to align with institutional needs, and coordinating system testing, upgrades, and product releases. The role also entails driving business process enhancements, providing continuous support and training to users, and collaborating with stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors for system maintenance and integration. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for developing and enforcing security policies to ensure compliance and safeguard sensitive information.

 

Qualifications Required:

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with a minimum of 1 year of in Business Analytics.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge or experience with an ITSM system is an asset.
  • Experience working with SharePoint administration considered an asset.
  • Experience with value stream mapping, business process and data analysis, business rules definition, data definition and preparation.
  • Experience in research and analysis to support a best practice approach to future state processes.
  • Experience in creating functional specifications for reports, workflow, interfaces (functional), and extensions.
  • Experience in test planning, developing and documenting test scripts, supporting and participating in testing.

Salary Range:

$43.81 – $64.25 per hour

Pay Grade:

Admin Paygrade 09

Compensation beyond the mid-point requires approval by the Public Sector Employers’ Council Secretariat (PSEC).
