Role Overview:

The HR / WorkdayTechnology Associate is a member of the HR Technology Team who will provide business process and technology support to configure and maintain Workday and other global HR systems. This associate role will focus on Global Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking, while also flexing to provide support across the broader team as needed.


As the HR / Workday Technology Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support Functional Consultants & Security and Compliance as needed in configuration, testing, documentation and overall system development and maintenance for Workday, iSight and potentially other systems

  • Support HR systems projects through project management, testing, and implementation

  • Identify and help implement process improvements, including automation

  • Partner closely with HR Solutions and Key Affiliate Contacts to process unique or complex transactions and to support ongoing learning and collaboration across teams

  • Support training, communication, and change management activities, including development of end-user or HR training

  • Partner with the IT to review and test applicable system integrations, as required

  • Actively engage with the Workday Community – staying ahead of Workday releases and influencing change

  • Provide support for user inquiries or incidents escalated to HR Technology team

  • Support HR Shared Services or own updates to master data and/or mass loads

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or Human Resources Or related field with 3 years’ experience supporting HR Systems

  • Two years of experience providing technical support including configuration of Workday or other enterprise-wide Human Capital Management System

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience configuring US or UK payroll or Global absence or time

  • Workday Pay, Absence, and/or Time Certification

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication

  • Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing is necessary

  • Self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style

  • Able to identify opportunities for and implement process improvement

  • Ability to adapt to dynamic work environment with changing responsibilities based on priorities and needs of the broader HR Technology Team

  • Flexibility to work different business hours on occasion based on global support requirements
