Why is this role important?

We’re looking for a Workday Senior Analyst, (HCM), to join our team!  This position is an exciting opportunity to help us continue our Workday HRMS & Payroll evolution and work for the largest Employer in Canada!

Reporting to the Director, People Process & Technology, you will be part of a team that supports the development and deployment of all facets of the Workday system with a focus on HCM Core to ensure that our Workday platform delivers a positive user experience. 

As part of the team, you will ensure our Workday environment’s integrity and overall system operation through configuration, support, testing, training, and troubleshooting. You will also serve as one of our users’ points of contact, as a Workday subject matter expert.

Here are a few ways you’ll make a difference:

  • Lead the requirements, design, development, and implementation of Workday solutions for multiple HR data domains, including HCM and Security.

  • Leverage your knowledge of delivered Workday features and functions in order to minimize user frustration and increase productivity, maintenance and sustainability

  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide subject matter insights and recommendations.

  • Recommend and implement solutions based on the analysis of issues and implications for the business.

  • Develop solutions based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs, ensuring solutions return stakeholder value and business results.

  • Promote reporting automation, self-serve consumption, and the culture of data-driven decision making.

  • Ensure enhancements and configuration changes are tested and are meeting business requirements.

  • Support development and execution of strategic analytics & reporting initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Document and maintain operational procedures related to Compensation, HCM and Security, and other modules as required.

  • Proactively build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.

  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

  • Work independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.

  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Recipe for Success:

  • Typically, between 3 – 5 years of HRIS / Workday experience across multiple HR disciplines, and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Workday, including; HCM, Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation and Security.

  • Knowledge and expertise with delivered Workday tools and functionality.

  • Knowledge and experience with the Workday Security model.

  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive business experience.

  • Project management skills.

  • Verbal & written communication skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Influence skills.
