We are thrilled to present an outstanding opportunity to become a Workday HCM Specialist at Lonza in Costa Rica! As a member of our Digital HR team, you will have a meaningful role in supporting and optimizing our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This is an opportunity to join a team, where your contributions will drive flawless system performance and improve user experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • System Configuration & Maintenance: Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Workday modules, specifically Core HR.

  • Data Management: Ensure data integrity by conducting regular audits and troubleshooting discrepancies within the Workday system. Perform data imports and exports, while strictly adhering to data governance standards.

  • Building, modifying, and maintaining reports and dashboards in Workday to deliver actionable insights.

  • Find opportunities for process improvements within Workday by collaborating with Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement Managers. Assist in streamlining workflows and optimizing system configurations.

  • Conduct system testing for new configurations, updates, and releases. Ensure changes meet business requirements and quality standards before implementation.

  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and help guides. Train end-users on system functionality and updates to ensure effective system adoption.

  • Stay ahead of Workday’s new features, releases, and updates. Participate in planning and implementing updates, ensuring system stability and minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, IT, Finance, and other teams to ensure seamless integration between Workday HCM and other systems.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated ability with Workday configuration including business process definitions, condition rules, and calculated fields.

  • Workday Knowledge: Familiarity with Workday HCM modules such as Core HR, Talent Management, Recruiting, Compensation, Security, or Integrations.

  • Basic understanding of Workday reporting tools and configuration. Experience with Workday Report Writer or Workday Studio is a plus.

  • Proven analytical skills and a methodical approach to resolving issues and improving system functionality.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of working with technical and non-technical collaborators.

  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
