ManTech is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources for our Defense Sector with 4,700+ employees worldwide and $1 billion in annual revenue. This position reports into the Vice President of Human Resources and serves as a strategic business partner to the Executive Vice President/General manager of the Defense Sector in support of our strategic workforce objectives, in order to drive business results.


This position is located at the ManTech Corporate office in Herndon, VA (a casual dress office) with the ability to work remotely part of the time, when work can be effectively accomplished doing so.


The selected candidate will lead a team of HR business partners and managers responsible for development and implementation of HR strategy.  As a critical leader, the ED of HR must demonstrate our ManTech Leadership Characteristics, to include an unwavering commitment to ethics and values.   The successful candidate will demonstrate executive level communication skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to collaborate across functional areas and at all levels.  With a primary focus on the employee experience, and specifically retaining and engaging our workforce, this role requires strategic thought leadership, organizational and project management skills in a high paced environment, the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, strong business acumen and judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.  



Basic Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR

·       3 or more years leading teams of HR professionals

·       Experience designing and leading projects, to include change management efforts 

·       Experience designing and implementing human capital strategies aligned to business strategy, with clear business outcomes 

·       Some travel may be required

·       Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance 


Preferred Qualifications: 

·       TS clearance with the ability to obtain higher level and special clearances 

·       MBA or MS in related field 

·       Experience in the A&D industry 

·       Experience with Workday human resources information system
