Payroll Manager

About the Payroll Manager:
The Payroll Manager is responsible for accuracy and timely completeness of U.S. and Canada payroll processing.  They will oversee the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. The Payroll Manger reports to the Controller and will directly supervise Payroll Specialists.

Location: Ogden, UT
 
What will you do?
•    Supervise and assist payroll specialists with questions concerning semi-monthly payroll processing 
•    Assist with the questions concerning timekeeping system
•    Compile Adjustments, review payroll audit reporting, calculate and complete and companywide payroll timely and accurately
•    Ensure and verify approvals from appropriate leadership for payroll related data inputs
•    Process final pay in accordance with internal policy and individual state regulations
•    Maintain knowledge of Federal and local payroll taxation requirements, payroll concepts, FLSA requirements and regulatory compliance by state
•    Stay current on benefits, paid time off, FMLA, PFML, 401k regulations, etc., to partner closely with the Benefits Coordinator
•    Ensure bonuses and other supplemental pay are processed timely and accurately
•    Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests as they arise
•    Provide necessary payroll deduction and earnings reports for distribution to Benefits, Talent Solutions and Executive team as needed
•    Assist with child support orders, and garnishments
•    Manage relationships with third party vendors for payroll administration
•    Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent work-related experience
•    Supervisory experience with history of full-scale payroll processing
•    Experience with Workday Payroll
•    Experience with ADP Smart Compliance
•    Demonstrate knowledge of Payroll Process Flow, FLSA, Federal and multi-state payroll tax requirements and regulatory compliance
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Microsoft Office, Outlook proficient and moderate with Excel
•    Experience with report writing helpful
•    CPP (US) or PCP a plus
