We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Digital team at Mercer. This role will be based in Pune/GGN/Noida. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Associate – Workday Practice(F)
What can you expect?
We are looking to hire Senior Associate – Workday Practice Consultant in Digital Solutions, Career; India COE and expect the candidate to:
- Plan and prioritize work for self, assist lead by providing inputs on in all the phases of delivery lifecycle, collate and report status/impediments with the greater project team.
- Lead / Manage – Small implementation projects / Launch implementations, manage workload for the team, assist team in all the phases of delivery lifecycle, collate and report status/impediments with the greater project team.
- Develop complex configuration for clients and Leads, manage data transformation and perform EIB Data loads.
- Provide go-live assistance and ongoing support.
- Lead and Involve in Data conversion Activities pertaining to Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll
- Coordinate with the Leads for project delivery
- Coordinate with the EM / PM and Client for project delivery
- Multi-task and engage on multiple projects at a time for lead activities.
- End to end ownership of assigned projects
- Provide leadership and key stakeholders with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions.

- Deliver solutions for at least one of Workday module Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll
- Identify scope, scope gaps & get them addressed.
- Identify right stakeholders in the project.
- Communicate & collaborate with project internal / external stakeholders for project success & plan inputs.
- Gather and document requirements, assess complexity and level of effort estimates, prioritizes capacity, and defines development and analysis timelines.
- Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and provide key support in Workday feature releases, security, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Mentor and Coach Team Members.
- Being flexible to work in multiple time zones and multiple teams.
- Drive Ops excellence culture and lead transformational project(s) with clear visible and measurable impact.
- Responsible for driving initiatives and ensuring results with a confined focus on timelines and quality
- Requirements gathering, Definition – Investigate the business / technical requirements for the client’s Absence or Time Tracking needs, work collaboratively with business analysts and architects to clarify requirements and to achieve a consensus on the organization's needs and priorities.
- Provide a overview to the client.
- Design the Workday solution to meet the needs.
- Conducting sessions with client personnel to verify the required aspects of the concerned Module.
- Ability to Configure based on the filled Workbook.
- Perform self-reviews and smoke testing of the work delivered and review peer’s work.
- Application Testing – Assist clients with the testing of the concerned Functional Module. Testing is driven by the scenarios from the client team.
- Production Support – Includes the practices and disciplines of supporting the Workday solution for a period of time post deployment.
- Migration Activities and Production Rollout – Assist with the rollout of the Workday solution into the production environment.
- Take timely, appropriate action to address stakeholder needs/expectations.
- Identify and manage issue resolution including escalation as needed.
- Interact and communicate effectively with mid and senior level management.
- Works with senior level management for understanding the future priorities and plans.
- Develop & manage communication plans with stakeholders aimed at improved collaboration.
- Leverage synergies between global information systems
What you need to have:
- Education : B.E /B.Tech /MCA /BSc.
- Should be Workday HCM Core Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll certified
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Workday & overall 15 years’ experience is minimum.
- Excellent technical & functional skills across functional areas required for developing and delivering complex solutions across client implementations.
- Thorough Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll Configuration Build knowledge.
- Through knowledge on Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll Migrations, Data Conversion and Reporting Concepts.
- Experience with Workday Project Lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of Workday at least of the Module – Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll
- In-depth knowledge of Workday object model of and solution design approach around it
- Knowledge of Absence/ Time Tracking/ Benefits/ HCM/ Compensation/ Recruiting/ Talent and Performance / Payroll functional areas
- Self-motivated and ability to learn quickly through individual research and self-training.
- Ability to absorb new technologies and features quickly.
- Ability to train users in a classroom setting.
- Effective knowledge transfer skills in non-classroom environment.
- Passion for customer service.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a home office for remote work.
- Adaptability to learn new skills.
