Job Description:

The Compensation Consultant works as a key resource within the Human Resources department supporting the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) compensation programs.  This individual plays a significant role in helping MCHS compensation programs remain competitive with the market to support the recruitment and retention of high quality staff.  The Compensation Consultant monitors and audits internal pay equity and is a resource to recruiters and managers on determining appropriate pay level for job offers and internal equity pay reviews.  Acts as a project leader on compensation change initiatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, finance, business administration or a related field. Four years of direct compensation experience in addition to experience below will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. 

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Four years’ experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs, Working knowledge of government laws and compliance relating to wage and hour programs.  Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (including advanced formulas in Excel). Familiarity with HRIS programs.

Preferred/Optional: Experience in the analysis, design and administration of healthcare compensation programs.  Familiarity with Workday HRIS program.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation obtained through WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals.
