Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager-Payroll is responsible for overseeing the system payroll and employee reimbursement processing and responding to questions related to the various software programs utilized to complete the payroll/reimbursement functions. The individual will manage a team accountable for processing the various functions related to payroll and expense reimbursement processing. The Manager-Payroll will work closely with Human Resources and collaboratively with leadership regarding employee compensation and benefits. The individual will review payroll related general ledger journal entries, ledgers and required payroll filing requirements including monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Five years’ experience in accounting, finance, payroll management, information systems, or related field. Experience working with payroll software, accounting software and HRIS systems. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred/Optional: Experience with Kronos Workforce Central, Lawson, Concur, and Workday software programs.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
