Performs a variety of administrative tasks for the Dean’s Office.  Prepares college communications to students and faculty.  Reviews forms and confidential information for completeness, and processes the information in University systems.  Collects data related to budget, programs, and faculty.  Manages data in College files and databases, and prepares reports for College review based on the analysis of this information.  Communicates with students and faculty regarding academic policies, procedures and other academic information.  Manages specific project areas (such as grant management, assessment and accreditation management, and student program management), and makes independent decisions within established guidelines regarding planning, organizing and scheduling work.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides day-to-day dean’s office support by managing students’ files/records, collaborating with internal and external parties, sending out communications on behalf of the office, and communicating University policies and procedures to internal and external audiences
  • Manages communications to new and current undergraduate and graduate students regarding course enrollment or program completion questions
  • Assesses and prepares program reports based on University data to support external accreditation matters, internal assessment reports, and program scheduling
  • Manages external grant awards, and grant budget tracking by liaising with payroll and the Office of Sponsored programs
  • Collaborates with divisions and departments across the University in order to ensure accurate management of data and implementation of policies
  • Conducts program-related research

  • Provides support with internship programs
  • Performs other duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education                                           

Bachelors degree required

1 to 3 years of related experience

Makes financial decisions within University or accepted accounting guidelines, including review of financial reports, purchasing decisions, contract review/negotiation, etc

Special Knowledge                        

Knowledge of Workday, Google suite, and Microsoft Office suite preferred.
