: Workday Finance System Analyst

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workday Finance System Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of our Workday Financial Management system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance finance processes, ensuring the system meets the needs of the business while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
As a key member of the Finance and IT teams, you will play a crucial role in driving the implementation of system improvements, managing system changes, and ensuring that our Workday Finance platform is aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration & Administration:
- Configure and maintain Workday Financial Management modules, including but not limited to Financial Accounting, Procurement, Spend Management, and Projects.
- Manage and implement system updates, patches, and releases for the Workday Finance platform.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Business Process Support & Enhancement:
- Work closely with finance and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into Workday system solutions.
- Design, document, and optimize business processes within Workday to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and system automation.
- User Support & Training:
- Provide technical support and training to finance end-users, troubleshooting issues related to system functionality.
- Create user guides, training materials, and documentation for new system features and functionality.
- Data Integration & Reporting:
- Collaborate with business teams and external vendors to integrate Workday Financial Management with other enterprise systems.
- Develop, test, and maintain financial reports and dashboards to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely data flows between Workday and other systems.
- System Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Lead and/or support testing efforts for new features, releases, and system enhancements.
- Ensure proper data migration, validation, and verification during system upgrades or transitions.
- Work with the business teams to ensure the system meets organizational and regulatory standards.
- Compliance & Security:
- Ensure Workday Finance modules comply with corporate governance, financial regulations, and security standards.
- Work with the security team to manage user access, roles, and permissions within the Workday platform.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Workday Financials Certification) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Workday Financial Management modules (or similar ERP systems).
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting processes, procurement, and financial reporting.
- Experience with system implementation, configuration, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Workday reporting tools and data integrations is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Workday Finance modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and creating dashboards using Workday or other BI tools.
- Knowledge of integrations between Workday and other ERP or third-party systems.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze complex financial system issues and provide effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday Finance or other Workday modules (e.g., Workday Payroll, Procurement).
- Knowledge of financial systems integration best practices.
- Experience in financial systems testing, data migration, or system security.
