Compensation Senior Analyst
Job Description
The Compensation Senior Analyst assists with the administration of the Company’s compensation programs which support the Company’s strategic objectives. This position provides analytical support to the Compensation team, HR team and various business units.
Essential Job Functions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
50% – Partners with Compensation and HR teams to support business objectives by providing analytical support and identifying and resolving compensation issues. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting compensation reviews to ensure internal equity and external market competitiveness, determining exemption status and tracking state mandates on required pay levels.
20% – Administers compensation programs within HRIS system (Workday), including annual merit increases, annual bonuses, and daily review and approval of proposed compensation changes.
15% – Participates in salary surveys to collect and analyzes market data to ensure competitive positioning of total compensation practices.
10% – Manages monthly reporting required to track and administer various compensation programs
5% – Ad Hoc reporting requests supporting both Compensation and HR team initiatives
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
- Experience: 5 plus years of Compensation experience preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Workday experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in Media, technology or another organization with a large engineering population is highly preferred.
- Must be able to make compensation recommendations using customer friendly formats and language.
- A highly responsive creative problem solver.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with all levels of management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and influence skills.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Excel.

Pay Range
Salary: $90000 – $115000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
