Job Description

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager of Integration Development, the Workday Integration Developer is responsible for the full lifecycle of Workday HCM integrations from requirements definition, design, build, and test to migration.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take ownership in the development, testing, configuration, and implementation of new interfaces into and out of Workday Core HCM, Staffing, Payroll, Performance, Benefits, and Compensation.

  • Responsible for maintaining existing interfaces including payroll and compensation interfaces to the State of New Jersey. 

  • Provide standard, matrix, and studio reporting from the Workday application.

  • Consult with HR Business Partners on the creation of custom and delivered dashboards, build and test worklets and dashboards. Deliver meaningful metrics, trends, and workforce analytical insights.

  • Support the Workday technical analysts to maintain, audit, and analyze Workday HCM configurations and business processes.

  • Contribute to training sessions, user guides, and other support materials.

  • Assist with production support and resolutions to unexpected results.

  • Recommend appropriate security roles based on knowledge of the Workday security model including user and role-based assignments.

  • Assist analysts with reconciling, auditing, and validating HCM data to ensure accuracy in all processes and reporting.

  • Translate advanced technical issues into understandable terms for non-technical functional users.

  • Take a lead role in collecting and prioritizing new requests from our user community.

  • Develop appropriate communication with user community to ensure transfer of operational, procedural, and policy information.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field. Relevant IT certifications/equivalent experience in an information systems role may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience with Workday HCM or similar enterprise HRIS system including business process configuration, integrations, reporting, calculated fields, and EIB creation, SQL, PL/SQL.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments with critical deadlines and changing priorities.

PREFERRED:

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a higher education setting.

  • Knowledge of Workday Finance, Ellucian Banner Student, Banner Workflow, Automic (Approx), and Cognos Reporting.

  • Ability to work independently as well as lead teams.
