The Role
We are looking for a bright, energetic, and driven individual to serve as Level 2 support within our HRIS Team. As a key member of the team, you will support Workday team members and Workday end users by understanding business needs, providing expert-level user support to the Level 1 operation team, and triaging escalated employee HRIS issues and questions to the Workday Technical/IT. In addition, you will support the rollout of Workday programs by creating user documentation and providing training to Level 1 teams. You will play a critical part in our HRIS support model, serving as the key link between our T&C Operations (Level 1) and Workday Technical/IT (Level 3) teams. This role is reporting to the Global HRIS Manager.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for core Workday HCM.
- Triage, research and resolve Level 2 Workday cases in ServiceNow reported by end users with high level of responsiveness and clarity; escalating to Level 3 teams for resolution as required. These cases may include data entry, process flow (Workday BPs and external workflows), security, reporting & scheduling, and integrations.
- Understand HR business processes and identify trends where end-users and/or Level 1 need upskilling or areas for process improvement and propose system enhancements to increase efficiency.
- Proactively identify and create reports and dashboards to improve data accuracy and processing efficiency to meet user needs.
- Partner with process owners and core process teams to provide Workday support such as requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and training for recurring HR programs and processes such as performance management, promotions, compensation/merit, and open enrollment.
- Develop, update, and maintain documentation including SOP’s
- Support project plans and manage project deadlines, testing activities, and contracts with other team members to stay on schedule and execute implementations and upgrades.
- Participate in testing configuration changes as a result of break-fix and functionality enhancements. Coordinate between functional and technical teams to develop test scenarios, define expected outcomes, test results, and communicate findings for resolution by Level 3 Workday team.
- Stay updated on current HR/Workday system trends and process best practices. Maintain visibility on Workday Community and local User Groups to keep abreast of new features, product defects, and advocate for desired enhancement. Communicate new incremental feature and availability to stakeholders and power users
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience providing Workday-specific end-user support
- At least 1 year experience with Workday configuration and writing Workday reports
- Experience across various Workday modules: Benefits, Payroll, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent Management/Career Hub
- Experience across Workday core functionality, including Security, Reporting, Integrations, Business Processes and general data management principles
- Strong understanding of HR business functionalities and experience with HR Operations is a plus.
- Functional HRIS knowledge and global experience
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
- Good project management skills/experience
- Familiarity with the agile development process
- Highly organized but adaptable to changing priorities and requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills, including written and verbal communication
- Process-oriented, and experience with process improvement initiatives (LEAN a plus)
- Proven ability to uphold the highest regard for confidentiality
