If this sounds like you, Central Human Resources at Multnomah County is looking to hire you as the Learning and Services Coordinator

As the Learning and Services Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Workforce Development teams in Central HR. This role will be responsible for coordination across four growing teams that support countywide learning, talent acquisition, wellness, and change management programs and services. This role will provide technical assistance for county partners and trainers on developing and managing courses in Workday Learning, our online platform for providing training and learning opportunities for county employees. This will prepare you to collect data and prepare reports in support of the County’s Workforce Equity Strategic Plan.

You will be the go-to person who keeps the workforce development teams operating at a high level while maintaining positive relationships with our county partners. As the Learning and Services Coordinator, you will:

  • Collect, organize, and deliver metrics and data relevant to the Workforce Equity Strategic Plan to county partners and the Central HR Director

  • Review countywide course evaluations on a regular basis and provide reports to trainers, Central HR Director, and other stakeholders to help improve services

  • Support various Central HR projects and events, such as Employee Recognition, HR Forum, Multnomah Leadership Academy, and College to County

  • Assist Central HR teams with coordinating internal and external meetings and events, including developing and sending meeting agendas, note-taking, producing follow-up summaries and action items.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Central HR service inquiries

  • Coordinate and maintain a yearlong training calendar, scheduling classes, and arranging room reservations and other event logistics

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.

  • One (1) year administrative support experience that includes functions such as customer service, scheduling, data entry, event planning, and/or office management.

  • High level of technical capacity, with proficiency in Google Suite and navigating databases

  • Prior experience and knowledge in Workday or similar HRIS.

Additional Information:  

This recruitment may be used to fill full-time, part-time, temporary, limited duration and on-call positions.

Type of Position: This is an hourly, non-represented position that is eligible for overtime.

Location: This position is eligible for routine telework, however the incumbent must reside in Oregon or Washington. The onsite work location for this position is at the Multnomah Building: 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR  97214.
