The Head of Talent Development is responsible for setting next generation talent strategy and executing an end-to-end talent management and development lifecycle including learning and development, performance management, career development, succession, and senior leadership development.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Be the leading voice on a forward looking talent strategy for the firm and advise the firm’s leaders and other key constituents on talent strategy and talent management best practices.
  • Lead the firm’s learning efforts (oversee the global learning curriculum, facilitate training sessions and partner with external facilitators, collaborate with business leaders to design targeted impact-driven programs that will drive results). 
  • Model and be a coach to select groups of individuals, utilize employee feedback and survey results to understand organizational needs and priorities.
  • Leverage and manage the Workday Learning platform.
  • Develop firm-wide career development strategies and programs including professional enrichment, career pathing and planning, programs targeted at high potential individuals / diverse groups, etc.).
  • Work closely with the Human Capital Management Business Partners and individual business leaders on year-round talent planning (annual talent reviews / 9-box planning, advancement).
  • Interweave the firm’s talent management strategies with our Equity, Inclusion and Diversity efforts. Work with individual businesses and the firm’s leaders to create EID strategies aimed at the development and retention of diverse talent.
  • Drive performance management practices for the firm that result in more candid feedback, greater transparency around expectations, and enhanced coaching capabilities for managers. Oversee the mid-year review and annual performance review processes (360-degree reviews, colleague feedback, goal setting, manager effectiveness, etc.).
  • Evolve our succession planning efforts (drive a dynamic and regular cadence of pipeline development discussions).
  • Partner closely with our Employee Engagement team on employee surveys / pulse surveys / other tools to gather feedback and measure engagement.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience spanning the talent management and development spectrum.
  • Experience establishing firm-wide Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity talent strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and advise the firm leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change by collaborating across the firm and building strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize feedback and data analytics to develop strategies and drive decision making.
  • Prior people management experience (managing an internal team as well as external relationships with vendors / partners).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in related field preferred but not required.
