About the Role:

Maintain and optimize Workday business processes and provide reporting that reflect key HR-related metrics and analytics. Support Workday through the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of employee information for the Human Resource department. Identifies, evaluates and/or designs Workday system specifications, plans for new HR applications/systems, and monitor various system interfaces to ensure data integrity and reporting completeness. May coordinate with the following teams: Payroll for data upload and retrieval, and reporting purposes, employees for general Workday inquiries, and HR staff for using ad-hoc reporting tools. Collect data and generate a variety of reports reflecting key HR-related metrics and analytics for leaders and the HR Team. Interpret reports to identify key trends and problem areas that require further review.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

  • HCM Maintenance

    • Administers and ensures the overall integrity and accuracy of the data in Workday in support of the organizations data management and reporting needs

    • Follows established procedures for updating, troubleshooting, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data in Workday

  • HCM Optimization

    • Serves as a liaison between Human Resources and internal Payroll and Information Technology (IT) departments as well as external technical support vendor teams to provide systems support and analysis to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of HR and users of the HCM system throughout the organization

    • Provides support for HCM systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, addressing unexpected results or process flaws, performing scheduled activities, recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements, and planning for new applications and functionality to the system

    • Gathers requirements, designs, configures, tests, and deploys Workday functionality

    • Works with Human Resources team and vendors to identify, evaluate and/or design Workday system specifications

  • Training and Support

    • Provides assistance to HR users with ad hoc reporting tools

    • Serves as first contact to employee inquiries regarding Workday

    • Prepares end-user documentation or training materials as needed

  • Analytics

    • Collects data and generates a variety of reports for HR Leadership to reflect key HR-related metrics and analytics

    • Interprets reports which clearly and concisely show key workforce trends and problem areas. Identifies trends or areas that may require further review

    • Supports other teams within HR such as benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, talent management, the HRBPs and HR operations with analytics, reporting, problem solving, case resolution, special projects and other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of HCM systems experience, including cloud-based system configuration, producing reports that reflect key HR-related metrics and analytics for decision making OR

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field and some related experience OR

  • Technical expertise with cloud based HCM solutions (Workday is highly preferred), including module configuration (compensation, performance management, benefits, etc.), reporting, business process setup and documentation, user support, and release review and testing

  • Good understanding of HCM design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, organizational design, and performance management

  • Demonstrated ability to produce reports that reflect key HR-related metrics and analytics for decision making

  • Possesses a learner-mindset to support changing HCM needs

  • Understands Neurocrine’s business objectives and developing understanding of Neurocrine’s services and customers

  • Has experience in specific functional discipline while working to acquire higher-level knowledge and skills

  • Comfortable with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area

  • Ability to work as part of a team
