Job Description:


The Finance department of the New York Mets is seeking a talented and highly motivated intern beginning in January/February. This position will be a key member of the Finance team and will be responsible for financial analysis, development of financial reports and models, special project work, and administrative support. This will initially be a full-time virtual position that will transition to either a hybrid or full-time assignment at the Citi Field offices later in the year.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations and analyses

  • Extract, utilize, and summarize data from various sources for financial analyses

  • Prepare financial models to be used in financial plans (forecast, budgets, LRPs)

  • Research business processes and the information it yields

  • Work on various ad hoc special projects

  • Provide administrative support, as needed


  • The ideal candidate is pursuing a master’s degree in Finance or related field

  • Self-starter, highly motivated and detail oriented

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Highly proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel

  • Prior experience working in an ERP system, such as Workday/Adaptive Planning, is a plus

  • Prior experience in a corporate internship program preferred, but not required
