The Sr Analyst, Global People Analytics serves in a project leadership capacity as an internal consultant to build a people analytics culture at Nissan.   Works to ensure enablement of global analytics capabilities across HR, the adoption and utilization of Nissan’s HR global systems and the shift to a data driven HR culture supporting human capital and workforce strategies.   Leads and supports change management activities for analytics projects and initiatives ensuring an excellent user experience across HR.
This position will be HYBRID (occasional days in office for GPS meetings/events) and based in proximity to Nissan facilities in Mexico City or Aguascalientes.

Job Functions

  • Leads development of visualization solutions (certified data sets, dashboards, scorecards, metrics) to deliver workforce insights to HR and business leaders via a single source of truth and self-serve capabilities.

  • Conducts quantitative analyses using various internal and external data sources to identify key issues, trends, benchmark and best practices that support workforce strategies and human capital decisions.

  • Leads data literacy efforts to support the shift to a data driven culture across HR.   Includes creation and oversight of analytical aptitude curriculum and delivery of training in coordination with Global L&D team.

  • Develops and promotes analytic tools to deliver insights around the workforce to HR and business leaders.   Leads rollout and training for tools across HR ensuring an excellent user experience.

  • Leads continuous improvement efforts by making recommendations for other relevant analytics processes, benchmarking, tools, and methodologies and executing key process improvement activities.  Stays updated on current trends in HR Digitalization and People Analytics.

  • Serves in a project leadership capacity to:   

    • Lead and deliver Global Projects with cross functional/global teams  

    • Design and conduct needs assessment with customers and other GPS teams to provide robust solutions in alignment with people analytics strategy and delivery of an excellent user experience.

    • Manage project deliverables and deadlines; manage client and customer expectations through timely checkpoints to provide status on issues, roadblocks, risks, changes and accomplishments

    • Develop and coordinate change management plans including aligning with HR functional users including communications, training, and awareness activities.

    • Escalate issues to management appropriately to support timely resolution and ensure continued progress to project completion

  • Supports all Data, Reporting & Analytics activities within assigned area and work closely with other GPS teams to ensure alignment.

  • As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience/Job Knowledge and Skill:

  • Five years (with advanced degree) or seven years (without advance degree) of directly related professional level experience including product/project management experience (system/solution design, process and support) required.   Certification in Workday (Pro), ITIL, PMP, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma, Quality concepts is a plus.

  • Experience in a consultative environment as a team lead/product/project manager highly desired; ability to engage strongly with global clients/stakeholders with design creation, prototyping and demonstration to build trust and credibility.  

  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to augment quantitative analyses with qualitative inputs to bring forward actionable insights for HR leaders and business leaders

  • Ability to think critically about a problem and provide solutions.

  • Excellent aptitude for technology with ability to learn new software and applications.

  • Demonstrated experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Visier, Workday/other HCM, etc)

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HCM platforms (Workday reporting and analytics tools a plus)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English language) with ability to engage and influence by adapting communications across the organization (HR leaders, business leaders and HR COEs and Business Partners).

  • Experience with cross-functional, cross-affiliate, multi-cultural/global teams on activities/projects

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, self-starter with a successful track record, able to manage multiple assignments concurrently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines as required.


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Strategy, Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, Mathematics/Statistics or related field. Advanced degree in related discipline (MBA) preferred.

Business Hours:
Ability to work outside standard business hours to collaborate and support global counterparts.
Travel:Occasional as needed to support global projects and initiatives.
