This job assumes responsibility for responding to all benefits-related issues and inquiries as well as escalating customer inquiries to Total Rewards COE as necessary; provides support as needed for benefits processes as well as preparing and processing benefits reports; performs reporting to include preparing quarterly, annual and interim benefits reports, preparing yearly benefits balance sheet, and benefits audits; assumes responsibility for communicating with vendors and ensuring eligibility, claims, and payments are processed correctly; manages employee and dependent information in the Workday system; and takes responsibility for annual open enrollment including system testing, communications, registration, and auditing.
Required – Bachelor’s degree
Required – 2 years related HR experience.
Experience with automated Benefits systems.
Strongly Preferred : Experience with Excel
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly a high level of proficiency in Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of Health & Welfare and Retirement benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, FMLA, and COBRA
- Responds appropriately to complex benefits related inquiries and issues.
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the Workday HRIS system.
- Leads and provides support for benefits processes.
- Prepares and processes benefits reports and audits such as quarterly, annual and interim benefits reports, etc.
- Maintains accuracy and timeliness with all benefits transactions.

Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
Mechanical lifting devices (carts, dollies, etc.) or team lifts should be utilized.
Must be able to sit and for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity.
Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities.
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
