This job supports and maintains the payroll configuration and design for the Payroll System across Workday and Kronos. Serves as a subject matter expert in the functional area of payroll and assists with ensuring data integrity, developing system testing plans, testing of system changes, analyzing and auditing data, report writing, system configuration, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Provides system support and helps to educate end users on system functionality and usage. Supports company-wide training initiatives, upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects.

Required – Bachelor’s Degree in computer system, business or related field.
Required – 5 years of experience working with Workday Payroll, Kronos Workforce Central or Dimensions, or in-house healthcare payroll.
Preferred – Experience with in-house healthcare payroll, multi-entity, and working with 10,000+ employees.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of payroll systems, payroll operations and payroll transactions.
Knowledge of Workday and Kronos Workforce Central configuration.
Knowledge of report writing including the ability to create detailed reports, charts, tables, etc.
Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate multiple work assignments and be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking to strategies, practices, and problem-resolution and trouble shoot system issues.
Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and interact with a variety of individuals.
Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and use discretion on issues that may be sensitive or confidential in nature.
Develops and maintains reports within Workday and Kronos Workforce System to analyze operational activities as well as produce ad-hoc and custom management/operational reports.
Develops Workday and Kronos configurations and customizations to create solutions for operational needs.
Coordinates and collaborates with payroll operations and other cross-functional departments to implement changes related to system operations and company level setup.
Provides production support by analyzing, designing, and testing solutions to complex problem and works with information services to resolve critical production issues.
Independently coordinates system maintenance, updates, and enhancements in leading major projects.
Creates and documents test plans, executes testing, and evaluates results to recommend solutions.
Trains functional end users and other institutional partners for partnerships and acquisitions and acts as a liaison between end users and information services.
Troubleshoots, tracks issues, and assists team members, as well as end users with problem resolution including time-clock issues at affiliates.
Supports corporate Payroll reporting strategy and planning efforts.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
