Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Manager – Revenue Accounting is responsible for leading all areas relating to the recording of monthly revenues, determination and analysis of accounts receivable, and leading collection processes. The role will oversee the process to estimate, track, and accrue contingent revenues. This position must adhere to stringent deadlines and possess analytical ability to process large sets of data and infer proper conclusions to support recording of revenues in adherence to GAAP.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Develop masterful understanding of brokerage and advisory commission revenue streams and OneDigital’s tracking of monthly commission receipts to estimate and accrue revenue at detailed level to specific P&Ls

Oversee the monthly AR estimate and review process

Ensure that all contingent commission revenue estimates are supported by policy data calculated in adherence to specific carrier programs

Oversee collection efforts with carriers / partners

Ensure AR is reconciled fully on a monthly basis and all reconciling items are properly investigated

Partner with Regional Finance Leaders to provide relevant reporting and insightful data to be utilized in driving organic revenue growth

Provide ongoing analysis of developing revenue trends at various levels of organization to include development of routine metrics (to include AR aging) and ad hoc analysis at direction of senior management

Interface with offices to investigate revenue discrepancies and communicate accounting adjustments

Guide the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department; provide training to new and existing staff as needed

Understand the invoicing process, including payment application, and work closely with the Workday team to ensure accurate revenue recognition.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

Education, Training and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area;

CPA required.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Experience with Salesforce or Microsoft CRM, and Workday billing preferred.

5-10 plus years of experience in a similar financial position;
-
Experience with brokerage operations, highly desired but not required.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
