POSITION OVERVIEW
The Corporate Development Manager will support executive decision making, strategic development and ultimately help define, shape and analyze the direction of our rapidly growing company. The person will work cross-functionally to generate and/or drive broad ranging strategic initiatives, evaluate organic growth opportunities and M&A, and lead the generation of analytically driven and actionable insights to influence activities across the company. The person will be a self-starter and natural leader with excellent quantitative and verbal/communications skills. They will have the maturity and confidence to interface with company executives as well as humble self-aware personal styles that enable them to lead cross-functional teams to consensus around solutions. This role will have the opportunity to perform duties across FP&A, Product, Treasury, Corporate Development and Strategy, and will have the opportunity to influence decisions up to the executive and Board level.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Be a part of Finance & Strategy, working with company executives in developing, implementing and executing across a variety of strategic initiatives and projects.
- Identify, prioritize, structure, and solve complex business problems, with analytics and sound business judgment.
- Lead analyses on key industry trends and dynamics (market, technology, competitors, consumers, etc.), and develop insights on the economic impact on our business.
- Assess market opportunity (addressable market, customer segments, geographic markets, etc.).
- Lead "research" engagements to develop and articulate perspectives on long-term topics and provide thought leadership.
- Build and maintain a variety of financial models, including (but not limited to) multi-year three financial statement models, unit economic analyses, capital investment models, customer cohorts, etc.
- Create and maintain investor and Board reporting, including supporting the creation of quarterly Board decks; interface with Board and investors on as-needed basis.
- Support corporate development activities, including capital raising (debt & equity), spin-off’s, M&A, partnerships, JVs, etc., including interfacing with investment banks on regular basis.
Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in quantitative business discipline (such as finance, mathematics or economics), or a liberal arts degree from top-tier institution is required.
- 3 – 7 years of experience in an investment banking, private equity, big 4 accounting or VC/PE backed portfolio company FP&A required
- Must be expert level with Microsoft Office based programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- Analytics – Superior analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities are a must.Â
- People & Project Management – Strong organization skills; thorough understanding of the business including customer base and complexity, project sizes and deadlines with ability to structure complex strategic initiatives and work through technical issues and risks. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to resolve conflicts, negotiate with all levels of personnel, identify issues and present workable solutions in a simple, meaningful, and focused manner; ability to build rapport with all levels of personnel.
- Communication – Excellent communication, written and oral skills. Ability to comfortably and effectively communicate up to the executive and Board level.
- Organization – Ability to identify ways to streamline processes to meet leadership requests and deadlines; demonstrated excellence, detail-oriented, organizational skills.
- Professionalism & Attitude – Positive, team-oriented self-starter; ability to adapt style to influence others; ability to accept difficult situations and tasks and perform with the utmost professionalism; easily able to adapt to sudden change with a positive attitude. Â
