The Customer Tax Account Specialist  will serve as the primary tax customer contact and be a liaison between the tax department and the customer. You will collaborate with other internal tax groups to assist our customers and become an expert on the OSV tax systems and procedures.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure channels of communication with all customers remain open to include email, cases, calls and onsite visits
  • Prioritize and schedule customer calls with appropriate parties
  • Handle escalated customer issues and reach out for contact
  • Frequently communicate with customers to resolve non notice cases; funding questions, collections/refunds, activate/inactivate tax jurisdictions, and assist with recouping/refunding funds on uncompleted payrolls
  • Communicate and manage applied for EIN’s, validate EIN’s, and reject applied for’s
  • Coordinate with internal amendments team by providing amendment check list and reassigning the ticket to their queue when an amendment is needed
  • Oversee assigned customers tax related cases (notices and general inquiries) to ensure KPI and SLAs are met
  • Communicate and educate customers on funding portal, tax portal, stock options, and estimated tax payments
  • Conduct a quarter review of customer’s filings to ensure 100% accuracy
  • Grant access to tax portal for customers
  • Coordinate with internal OSV teams to ensure customers receive 100% satisfaction
  • Occasional travel required to attend training, customer on site meetings and industry seminars

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years customer service
  • 1-2 years of payroll tax knowledge
  • Basic excel experience
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite
  • Training experience
  • Good grammar and communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Intermediate excel experience
  • CPP/FPC certification
  • Working knowledge and background of multistate tax jurisdictions
  • Understanding of OSV tax systems; Workday, Tax-Ex and Salesforce
