Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

50% of the time

  • Manage progress and workload of staff engaged in multiple simultaneous projects, adjusting resources, updating priorities and communicating status to leadership.
  • Work to enable and deliver maximum utilisation / managing IWR / billable hours for direct reports as applicable to the work of the team, ensuring correct billing of services to enable effective invoicing.
  • Train consultants to accurately forecast project hours
  • Proactively manage team to deliver within scope of contracted services/SLA’s, raise with Management/Sales when appropriate when additional billable services are required
  • Drive appropriate levels of customer satisfaction and engagement through the effective management of team and self,  providing coaching where appropriate. 
  • Focus on quality of all individual and team tasks and constantly seek to strengthen quality of deliverables through use of industry and Workday best practices
  • Act as the team escalation point, ensuring that issue resolution processes are followed, and onward escalation is made where appropriate.
  • Take the lead on new global and domestic initiatives ensuring fit for purpose with team activity, adjusting process and procedure where necessary to accommodate required changes.
  • Recommend, agree and implement new and different ways of working / structures to continually evolve the team to changing business and other requirements.
  • Create, manage and monitor  required Governance frameworks within the Team.
  • Create, manage, monitor and report necessary KPI’s for the team.
  • Work within HR policy and procedure on the hire and employee life cycle management for all team members.
  • Develop team by creating and monitoring performance goals, facilitating professional development, recognising employees for significant accomplishments and growing individuals to help them achieve potential
  • Engage and inspire team to deliver their best for OSV.
     

50% of the time

  • Create and develop functional designs and specifications to support tenant build.
  • Analyse gaps and complete fit gap documentation.
  • Lead the Workday implementation process as needed.
  • Lead requirements gathering, design, testing, tenant review and other customer facing sessions, as required.
  • Turn business requirements into practical solutions appropriate to the customer.
  • Conducting product fit analysis.
  • Engage with client counterparts defining client strategies and requirements, guiding clients through the implementation process, configuring the application according to customer requirements, developing system interface and data conversion plans.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality services and products to clients to maintain and build on OSVs reputation and credibility.
  • Work with clients to identify and resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframe.
  • Ensure the Workday product is built in a way to maximize benefit to the client.
  • Ensure awareness of future functionality in Workday releases to enable clients to plan for future opportunities.
  • Highlight any continuous improvements and lessons learned throughout each project to maximize  OSVs Professional Services efficiency
  • Contribute to the revenue growth of OSV by actively participating in sales cycles and supporting the sales team with pursuits

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working within a consultancy or services environment and deploying WD across a range of different customers with differing complexities.
  • Consolidated experience of directly managing others in the workplace.
  • Essential Skills
     

  • Experience leading or managing teams
  • Up to date Workday certification in HCM, Payroll or Financials and at least one other current Workday certification
  • Advanced knowledge of IT design principles, practices, and theory by providing guidance to others in functional design processes, and completing functional HR/Payroll design docs
  • Working knowledge and language of the following business areas: Human Resources, Benefits, and Payroll or Finance
  • Proven track record of collaborating with customers to define deployment expectations and ensure consistency with strategic direction
  • Experience of working with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company
  • Extensive experience of working in client facing roles
  • Strong understanding (may not necessarily be the technical SME) of relevant functional specialism/team and can describe how revenue is created and the subsequent revenue flow/impact on functional/team profitability.
  • Able to demonstrate the direct and autonomous management of a range of different people issues.
  • Commercially strong and can understand and interpret basic financial statements, SLA’s and customer contracts.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
