The Senior HCM and Advanced Compensation Consultant will be responsible for the successful implementation of the Workday solution for key accounts in our Strategic & Post-Deployment Consulting Services Practice (SDC).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This is a client facing role with assigned responsibilities as a primary/lead consultant on projects regardless of size or strategic importance
  • Superior communication, consultative, and presentation skills with solid technical abilities  to lead client engagements
  • Experience in  data loads, validation and extraction of Workday Data (iLoads, EIB, workbooks, CloudLoader, INable, XML, etc.)
  • Able to extract and capture client business requirements. Provide the client with options, best practices as well as caution the client when they are trying to force something into the Workday system that does not fit the native architect by creating elaborate workarounds
  • Able to take the client requirements and translate those into Workday configuration.
  • As the lead consultant you are to become the clients go to person as their Workday client business partner.
  • As a SME you will be called upon to Assist with sales opportunities  
  • Continually improve Workday knowledge by attending internal training and monitoring relevant Workday Community postings, attending PAL meetings
  • Develop relationships with appropriate Workday employees and other partners as a representative of OSV in the ecosystem
  • Demonstrate understanding of the clients business value and addressing the tradeoff between business requirements impact to project cost, timeline and Workday performance
  • Design and implemented solutions to solve highly complex technical and business problems
  • Accountable for data validation and integrity issues
  • Work with your project manager to forecast the hours allocated for your role across the project timeline. Provide your project manager with weekly updates to estimates of the hours needed to complete the work and updates to forecasted hours
  • Responsible for adhering to the Workday Methodology and DA processes
  • Responsible for complete unit testing
  • Lead testing efforts of the client during UAT
  • Accountable for the successful  deployment of your workstream into production
  • Understand and work toward the responsibilities of the next level

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with no supervision and direct the actions of others.  A leader.
  • Superior presentation skills, both graphically and verbally
  • Superior knowledge of MS Excel (Complex formulas & Macros)
  • Superior personal initiative
  • Ability to insert into any project as a recognized leader by both client and coworkers
  • Acumen for technology, abstract thinking
  • Experience with compensation program Competitive Offers, In-Band Adjustments, Market Data, Overtime (FLSA), Pay Strategy Pay Structure, Role Changes

Qualifications:

  • Workday Certified in HCM, Advanced Compensation
  • Completed 5-10 projects within the Workday ecosystem
  • 3-5 years of Workday experience as a consultant
  • Prolific experience in client facing situations with all management levels
  • Industry certifications strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and execution of Workday project management methodologies as it applies to your functional workstream
  • Must have led implementations within the functional area to which applied
  • 4 year College degree in Business or Technology tract
    • OR, 12 years industry experience in a directly related field
    • MBA a plus
  • Preferred “Certified Compensation Professional”
  • Travel 30%+
