The Supply Chain Analyst role will provide integral analytical support to a broader team of Supply Chain professionals.  The role involves collecting data and conducting research and analysis, reporting, and identifying process improvements to improve the overall efficiency of Supply Chain operations. 

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Assess and provide analysis in support of procurement projects through requirements gathering, data and/or cost modelling

  • Contribute to business cases to articulate the total value of the opportunities, both from a qualitative and quantitative standpoint through different analysis

  • Establish and maintain a reporting and dashboard platform tool to support planning and performance

  • Produce Corporate reporting on Procurements to: 

  • Manage KPIs to measure, control and benchmark procurement processes including creation of recurring metrics reports to drive improvements for the Operations:

  • • Measure actual vs planned savings; performing cost-avoidance tracking as savings trends are identified

    • Using input from the supply chain teams, build the category metrics model to track and monitor performance in relationship to the category strategy

  • Document procurement processes to identify areas for continuous process improvement opportunities and system changes to improve efficiency

  •  Identify procurement solutions to streamline processes that will result in efficiency gains and improvement to key metrics

  • Support implementation of improvement strategies across functions

  • Develop and maintain tools and templates to support the procurement process

  • Establish governance standards for the evolution of pipeline of savings

  • Design process mapping and automated process solutions in accordance with standard design principles and conventions; drive implementation and provide training to team members on newly developed reports and business processes

  • • develop an annual Procurement plan and outlook report identifying recurring and new planned procurement initiatives

    • Support the business in decision making by providing standard or ad-hoc reports and business supported applications as required

    • Supports senior management with activity reports on previous month’s purchases, savings and other procurement activities underway

    • Prepare various required audit reports such as Ministry reporting and compliance reporting

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management preferred, or related field
  • 3 – 5 years professional/related experience within Supply Chain providing expertise in performance management, reporting and/or data analytics
  • Knowledge of, or previous experience working within, the health sector or public sector environment is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills working with large amount of data and identifying trends, gaps and opportunities
  • Effective Problem-Solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Experience with process improvement methods
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Working experience with ERP systems, preferably knowledge of Workday

Knowledge and Skills  

  •  Supply Chain and logistics management, and integrated supply chain management strategies, processes and transactions in functional areas such as planning, forecasting, sourcing, purchasing, contract management, compliance, supplier relationship, procurement processes and systems

  • Data analysis practices, development and assessment, research and analysis skills, methods and standards

  • Theory and practice of business process and data modeling, capability maturity modeling and quality systems

  • Process improvements, ensure compliance, best practices and quality of outputs

  • Understanding of key performance indicators, qualitative and quantitative measurement and risk assessment to measure process efficiency and effectiveness

  • Excellent mathematical and analytical and problem solving skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, proficiency/familiarity with other analytical tools (e.g Power BI) and knowledge of emerging IT trends and technologies 

  • Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders 

  • Knowledge in performance measurement, metrics, and reporting

  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills to respond to issues, provide recommendations, prepare reports and correspondence
