The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for two (2) Full-Time, Limited Duration Payroll Analyst.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration):

Two years of experience in analyzing, calculating, recording, and maintaining routine financial information and must include accounting, data, or payroll processing; OR

At least 94 quarter (63 semester) credit hours or associates degree from an accredited college, university, or vocational- technical school that includes 12 quarter (9 semester) hours in accounting, business, or finance; OR

A Certified Payroll Professional’s (CPP) certificate; OR

One year of experience analyzing, calculating, recording, and maintaining routine financial information and must include accounting, data, or payroll processing; AND

At least 43 quarter (29 semester) credit hours from an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school that includes 8 quarter (6 semester) hours in accounting, business, or finance; OR

One year of experience analyzing, calculating, recording, and maintaining routine financial information and must include accounting, data, or payroll processing; AND

Payroll certification from an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school

Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration):

  • Ability to work with a wide range of individuals in a positive, collaborative, and productive manner is critical to success in this position.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills including but not limited to research, adaptability, and innovation.

  • Knowledge of Collective Bargaining agreements and ability to interpret and apply concepts appropriately.

  • Experience applying rules, policies, and procedures to work assignments.

  • Workday Payroll or Oregon State Payroll System knowledge preferred.

  • Intermediate to advance knowledge in Excel preferred.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%. Please review the Classification and Compensation page for more details.
