Job Description:  

The HR Technology Workday Extend Developer will have the privilege of handling the Workday Extend development and configuration at Otis. You will be responsible for the development, architecting and deployment of Workday Extend applications. Working under the Workday Extend Functional Lead, you will assist in gathering requirements and testing the applications.

The ideal candidate should have a passion and drive to learn Workday Extend Development and be willing to lead a best-in-class solution to all Otis employees.

Core Competencies/Experiences:  

  • Passion to learn and develop an expertise in developing Workday Extend Applications
  • Provide subject matter expertise on key business process decisions related to Workday Extend
  • Facilitate end-to-end process reviews and recommend process changes or enhancements to support day to day activities
  • Work closely with Center of Excellence, shared services, employees and managers to ensure learning solution meets the requirements
  • Support the Workday Extend Functional Lead in architecting Workday Extend Applications
  • Prepare documentation for release management
  • Understand the SDLC process
  • Identify and implement corrective actions quickly and independently in order to accomplish objectives
  • Identify improvement opportunities for the organization and be an advocate for change.
  • Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
  • Work in an agile environment with global implementation and operations teams
  • Lead coordination for the training and other events that help share knowledge and skills with other team members
  • Passion for making wicked cool apps!!

Education:

  • 2/4-year College Degree and/or a passion to learn how to build full applications

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Any experience with Workday
  • Experience with OO Programming or using API’s (great to have)
  • Experience with Postman (great to have)
  • Thrive in a diverse, fast paced, global environment
  • Experienced in configuring Workday Business Processes (great to have)
  • Basic knowledge of AGILE and Project Management methodologies and practices
  • Think analytically and can effectively apply logic to solve problems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, despite conflicting demands
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and team with others
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can clearly articulate complex messages and requirements to stakeholders, functional COE teams and WD CSM/Account Executives
  • General passion in finding creative solution using  Workday Extend
  • Willing to learn Workday Core products to ensure application success
  • HTML (great to have)
